Second grade is a wonderful time for children to develop routines for school and organizational skills. Each child has a home-school folder to
travel back and forth between home and school.
As a part of our morning routine, children take their mail and put it in
their home-school folder and into their backpack. This is also a time when children pass in any
homework, parent notes, bus notes, or permission slips that come from home. Helping
your child check their folder each day at home is greatly appreciated! I will also give lots of reminders for
children to empty their folders once at school.
If you find that your child is forgetting to pass in their homework or
notes to me, please just let me know and I would gladly help in establishing
this routine.
