We
celebrate birthdays at school through fun songs and creating a special
“birthday book” for each child. Also,
summer birthdays are celebrated on the child’s half birthday. Students are welcome to celebrate their birthdays with a small gift, such as birthday pencils, a board game, playdough, book, playground game, or art material for the class. We ask that you not bring in food items. Having a parent or family member read a story to the class would
certainly be a very special occasion for the birthday child! As the school handbook states, if bringing birthday party
invitations to school, please have one for everyone in the class. Our class’ Friendship List will include
contact information from parents who would like to participate and will be distributed in early
